This year, the College Hockey Atlantic Combine will be held in Halifax Regional Municipality from June 21st – 24th, 2018.
The Event will feature some of the very best young male and female hockey players from throughout Atlantic Canada, the United States and Europe, divided into two divisions (each); i) those 16 years and older, and ii) those under 16 years of age.
During the weekend, there will be opportunities for players to be observed and rated in individual testing, and in team settings.
There will be ice sessions (practices) run by professional prep school and college hockey coaches and there will time for interaction and observation by various coaches, college recruiters and professional scouts.
The weekend will include fitness testing , as well as a series of practices and games, and will also include a number of seminars and other Q&A sessions, which players and parents will be sure to find informative. These sessions will be run by people who are “in the know”, and will include recruiters, coaches, and athletes.
Based on early interest, we have been informed that over 50 programs will be in attendance during the weekend.
In addition to Prep Schools, NCAA Colleges and CIS programs, many junior programs have also indicated that they will be present, as well as some professional organizations, including European and NHL member clubs.
What started off as the product of a few hockey enthusiasts, interested in exposing more players to the options available for combining athletics and academics, has now developed into a very much anticipated athletic event, held Atlantic Canada eachsummer.
The early cost of registration for the event will be $499, plus HST. Prices are expressed in Canadian Funds. As of January 1st 2018, the cost of registration is expected to increase.
We will soon announce who our accommodation partners are for the 2018 Event.
